Tibians! A whole bunch of game worlds will be actively shielded by BattlEye with today's server save:
  • Bellona
  • Candia
  • Celesta
  • Fidera
  • Harmonia
  • Luminera
  • Magera
  • Menera
  • Nerana
  • Nika
  • Olympa
  • Premia
  • Secura
  • Tavara
Therefore, having BattlEye activated will be mandatory to play on these worlds.
If BattlEye detects a cheating program or a manipulated client, you will not be able to play there.

Please also keep in mind that you will no longer be able to use the Flash client on these worlds.

Double exp and skill weekend

A terrifying monster has risen from the depths of the abyss and brave Tibians are heading into the fight against their cruel incarnations right now!
We can only hope that our warriors will return savely to their loved ones.
In order to reward them for their efforts, a double XP and double skill weekend will take place in Tibia afterwards!

Between the server saves of September 08 and September 11, all monsters will yield twice the usual amount of experience points, and your skill training, including magic level, will advance twice as fast. The skill progress when training offline will also be doubled.
Dev Note About Monster Cyclopedia

Last week, Cipsoft asked you about your opinion concerning the implementation of Monster Shards. They have gathered and carefully evaluated the feedback they had received in the dev note.

While most of you were interested in the general idea of collecting information about monsters, there were certain points that have been subject of your criticism.
Therefore, Cipsoft have decided to recede from the proposal of temporary bonus effects and reworked the shard mechanism as well.

That is how the idea of the Monster Cyclopedia began to form: To unlock a monster entry, a certain number of corresponding monster kills is necessary. Those kills are character based and can neither be traded via the Market nor bought in the Store. Complete enough monster entries to activate various offensive, defensive and passive bonuses for your character.

They would like to invite you to read through the revised versionwarning of our concept and to share your thoughts about the Monster Cyclopedia with us. The dev note is running until September 04, 10:00 CEST.
Rise of Devovorga

Devovorga is coming back to Tibia, bringing nothing but death and destruction! However, it is not too late to thwart her evil plans. You and your friend have to turn into dauntless heroes and avert the impending doom!

After server save on September 01, mystical portals will appear all over Tibia! Those, who consider themselves strong enough to survive the wrecking horror that waits on the other side of those portals, should coordinate their attacks. Teamwork is the key to success!
Hurry up and defeat all the cruelsome incarnations to face the powerful Devovorga in a final battle!

Please remember: Stage 2 (Devovorga's incarnations) needs to be completed before server save on September 6 or your world will not be able to proceed to stage 3 (Blooms of Doom) in time.

If your world manages to kill Devovorga until server save on September 7, it will benefit from +50% health and mana regeneration until the end of September.

Bugfixes and Changes

With today's server save we have fixed the following:
  • Guild leaders can now use "Create Board" again to create a new entry in the "Guild Board" section.
  • It is no longer possible to spawn more than one of the new summons at the same time.
  • The "Verdant Table" is now displayed in the Store section as well.
  • Several levers in different quests have been revised and should now work properly again.
  • An issue preventing some players to enter the fire portal of the Forgotten Knowledge questline has been fixed as well.
  • We have reduced the output damage in PvP situations of all new summons that were introduced with this year's summer update by 50%. This does not apply to black skulled players, though. Black skulled players will still receive 100% damage from all summons.
  • Retro Hardcore PvP: We have reduced the protection percentage of each blessing to reach the desired effect that if you die fully blessed with all 7 blessings there, you will lose just about as much as you would lose with 5 blessings on a regular game world. Please keep in mind that the percentage information displayed in the blessing window shows only rounded numbers.
Due to these changes and fixes, we have released new versions of our Tibia clients. If your client does not receive updates automatically, make sure to download the latest version of your client in our download section.

Dev Note About Monster Shards

Dear Tibians,
we have elaborated another design concept for a potential winter update feature. We are planning to add information about monsters to the Cyclopedia.
In order to unlock monster details and stats you will need monster shards. You will gather those shards during your hunting sessions or via shard packs in the Store. There are three different kinds of shards which can be used to complete your monster collection. Once you have completely unlocked a monster entry you can use additional shards to gain temporary advantages over these creature or exchange them for other monster shards.

We would like to give you a first impression on our thoughts and ideas and want to know what you are thinking about our monster shard idea. After you have read the design, please answer the questionswarning at the end of the dev note. The dev note will run until Thursday, August 24, 10:00 CEST, afterwards the commentary section will be closed.

Dev Note: Exiva on Optional PvP Game Worlds

In the beginning of August, we conducted a survey concering power abuse on Optional PvP game worlds. Several thousand randomly selected players who have a character of a certain level on an Optional PvP game world had been invited to participate. The vast majority of these players confirmed that power abuse is indeed a problem there and that the spell exiva is contributing to the problem, at least to a certain extent. Many players opted for a change concerning this spell in the survey, either for a complete removal, or at least for restrictions to it.

So we have decided to work on a way to allow players to restrict exiva on Optional PvP game worlds and would like to present this to you in a dev notewarning in the Auditorium.

There are no changes planned concerning exiva on any other game world types, please keep this in mind.

We would really appreciate your feedback and have prepared a set of questionswarning for you. Please help us by posting your answers in the designated thread until August 24, 10:00 CEST.
